Residents of numerous eurozone nations, including Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, anticipate higher inflation and unemployment during the coming year.

This is indicated in the European Central Bank’s report (ECB).

Consumers now anticipate more inflation over the next 12 months compared to May, according to the report. The paper also forecasts slower economic growth and higher unemployment.

The information comes from the Consumer Expectations Survey of the European Central Bank, which was conducted among 14,000 adults in six eurozone nations: Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

These states account for 85 percent of the GDP and 83.8% of the population in the euro zone.
