“I believe there is a chance for us to attain peace in the Middle East, extending past the circumstances in Gaza. We demand the prompt freedom of the hostages and more,” he told journalists.

Trump mentioned that the parties are “extremely near to finalizing an agreement (…) that will establish peace in the Middle East. We will take all necessary steps to ensure compliance from everyone,” the American president stated.

A representative for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed The Times of Israel that “there is optimism, yet it’s quite cautious,” while cautioning that “Hamas might at any time introduce further challenges and retreat.”

The spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry pointed out that several specifics still need to be resolved in the course of the negotiations.
