“This week has been significant for Ukraine’s future, with social rights and education central to that future,” stated Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu.

“The EC announced in a press release on Monday that Ukrainian NGOs, public authorities, and companies can now seek ESF+ funding for social initiatives aimed at boosting labor market engagement and addressing poverty and homelessness.”

The document states that the agreement was executed by the parties in Rome at a conference regarding Ukraine’s recovery on July 10-11.

During the conference, Brussels highlighted that the EC expressed its willingness to integrate Ukraine into the Erasmus+ program to enhance educational and mobility prospects for Ukrainian educators and students. Furthermore, Erasmus+ will aid in providing 2 million new textbooks for Ukrainian students in the 2025-2026 school year.
