According to the company’s press release, the M5 employs a 3nm process technology, is equipped with a ten-core GPU with an AI accelerator in every core, and has a stronger CPU compared to the earlier M4 chip.
The maximum computing power for AI tasks of the M5 GPU exceeds that of the M4 by over four times.
Pre-orders for the latest iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro featuring the M5 chip are currently available, with sales beginning on October 22. The laptop and tablet’s looks haven’t changed much, but the headset features a new strap.
