Several Vietnamese airlines are planning to temporarily stop some domestic flights because of fuel shortages and increasing costs caused by the conflict in the Middle East, according to a report by Bloomberg.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam stated that beginning on April 1st, the country's state-owned airline, Vietnam Airlines, will decrease the number of domestic flights, with approximately 20 flights being canceled each week.

VietJet Aviation also declared that some flights will no longer be operated. Bamboo Airways has mentioned that they plan to keep operating flights during times of high demand, although the number of flights might be less than what was seen last year. The company's leadership urged the nation's officials to offer greater assistance to the airline industry.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. discussed the potential to suspend certain flights.

When asked if the Philippines might be required to cancel certain flights, he expressed the hope that this situation would not arise, but also mentioned that it remains a potential outcome.

According to Marcos, certain countries have stated they will not be able to refuel Philippine aircraft that land at their airports, which means those airplanes will need to carry more fuel. The president highlighted that this issue could develop into a major concern over time.
