The report states that the United States and China are ready to renew the trade agreement they reached in South Korea for an additional year, as President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are planning to meet in Beijing early in April.

According to sources, extending the agreement would help maintain the economic benefits achieved during the October summit, such as new commitments from China to purchase goods.

The publication mentions that Trump is expected to visit China in early April. The U.S. president was originally planned to arrive in Beijing on March 31 for a three-day visit to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The sources from the publication mentioned that the timing is still being discussed.

The trade agreement between the United States and China was finalized after a meeting held between the leaders of the two nations in October last year in Busan, South Korea.
