Trump nominates Isaacman to lead NASA again

US President Donald Trump announced his nomination of businessman Jared Isaacman to serve as the head of the United States space agency, NASA.

"Tonight, I am pleased to nominate Jared Isaacman, an accomplished business leader, philanthropist, pilot, and astronaut, as Administrator of NASA," Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social.

He highlighted that Isaacman's "passion for space, experience as an astronaut, and dedication to pushing the boundaries of exploration (...) make him ideally suited to lead NASA into a bold new era."

Previously, Trump had rescinded Isaacman's nomination after a disagreement with businessman Elon Musk.

According to media reports, the reason for the initial nomination was Isaacman's contributions to Democratic figures.
