Toyota Motor, the Japanese automaker, will halt operations at 13 factories in the country on Wednesday morning due to Typhoon Jangmi, according to Nikkei.

Tim Andrew
Suzuki Motor, another automaker, intends to temporarily close five of its facilities in Shizuoka Prefecture because of the weather.

The storm interfered with transportation, causing several flights from Okinawa and Amami-Oshima Island in Kagoshima Province to be canceled by major airlines. Additional cancellations are anticipated on routes serving the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku.

The Japan Meteorological Agency cautioned about powerful winds and heavy rainfall, heightening worries over landslides, flooding in low-lying regions, and river flooding in the Amami area and sections of western Japan.
