Elon Musk stated that it's time to conclude the Model S and X programs, indicating that production will stop in the next quarter.

The Fremont plant, where these models were made, will be used to build the Optimus robot, which Musk described as "the largest product of all time."

The production of Optimus is set to start towards the end of 2026, and sales are expected to begin in 2027.

In early January, Tesla also revealed a $2 billion investment in xAI, an artificial intelligence development firm. Tesla's Chief Financial Officer, Vaibhav Taneja, stated that the company's planned spending on capital expenditures will reach $20 billion, a figure that is much higher than what the market was expecting.
