"NATO is not involved in this. However, it is evident that the allies largely back the actions the president  Donald Trump, is taking, and they also support the current efforts by the United States in the region, which involve undermining Iran's nuclear capabilities and, naturally, its missile capabilities," Rutte said.

He mentioned that NATO nations are offering "key support" to the United States and Israel's efforts against Iran.

At the same time, Rutte highlighted that the alliance "aims to protect every part of NATO territory."

The NATO Secretary General stated that he maintains regular communication with the Middle Eastern nations that have been targeted by Iran.
