Sources have informed European officials that the Strait of Hormuz is unlikely to revert to its pre-war conditions, and vessels passing through may need to pay specific tolls.

Oman acknowledged that it will consistently adhere to international maritime regulations, but vessels may need to compensate for services connected to traversing the strait or aiding in navigation.

The agency points out that any fees for passing through the strait may lead to merchants and suppliers losing tens of billions of dollars each year.
