McDonald's named world's most valuable restaurant brand for second year in a row

For the second consecutive year, McDonald's Corp. has been recognized as the most valuable restaurant brand globally, as per a study conducted by the consulting firm Brand Finance.

The fast-food chain's worth rose 5% from the previous year to reach $42.6 billion.

Starbucks maintained its second position (increased 4% to $37 billion). KFC, a fast-food chain specializing in chicken, held the third position in the rankings (an increase of 8% to $16.5 billion), while Subway, a sandwich chain, stayed in fourth (a rise of 18% to $9.5 billion).

Chick-fil-A (chicken sandwiches) climbed to fifth position from eighth in 2025, with its worth surging 44% to $8.1 billion. Consequently, Taco Bell, a Mexican eatery, rose from fifth to eighth position, maintaining last year's $6.9 billion.

The other brands in the top 10 held their spots: Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons (increased by 9% to $7.5 billion) placed sixth, Domino's Pizza (rose by 6% to $7.1 billion) placed seventh, burger chain Wendy's (declined by 4% to $5 billion) placed ninth, and Pizza Hut (grew by 4% to $4.95 billion) placed tenth.

The worth of the top 25 restaurant brands globally rose by 9% to reach $190.1 billion, setting a new record.
