Kia electric car owners will have access to 12,000 Tesla charging stations

According to MarketWatch, South Korean automaker Kia Corp. will transition to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) in the fourth quarter of 2024, enabling owners of the firm's electric vehicles to utilize 12,000 Tesla charging points.

Additionally, in the first quarter of 2025, Kia aims to start selling adapters for its vehicles that adhere to the combined CCS1 standard. This will allow customers to recharge their electric vehicles at any Tesla network charging station.

Tesla charging stations are currently located in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Earlier, General Motors, Ford Motor, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Jaguar, Honda, and Fisker declared plans to adopt the NACS standard as well.
