Japan and Brazil to create a joint venture to produce engines for flying cars

Japanese electric motor manufacturer Nidec and Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer will establish a joint venture called Nidec Aerospace in the United States to create engines for future electric flying automobiles.

According to a press statement published on the Nidec Corporation website, "Japan's Nidec Corporation and Brazil's Embraer today announced an agreement to form a joint venture called Nidec Aerospace... to develop electric propulsion systems for the aerospace industry."

The joint venture is "driven by the growth of the urban air mobility industry," according to the announcement.

The business will design and produce the power basis for electric vehicles with vertical takeoff and landing, according to the release.
