The decrease will reach a maximum of 1.5% of the overall employee count in the nation, with the company referring to it as “typical business procedure.”

JLR ranks among the largest employers in the UK's automotive industry, employing over 30,000 individuals.

Washington has placed a 10% tariff on car imports from the UK. The previous tariff stood at 2.5%. Simultaneously, one of the most favored JLR models, the Land Rover Defender, is manufactured in Slovakia and will incur a tariff of 27.5%, according to the BBC.
