Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that the cooperation agreement with the IAEA has been suspended.

“The agreement is presently on hold, and our engagement with the agency is conducted solely in accordance with the Iranian parliament's legislation and via the Supreme National Security Council,” Araghchi mentioned in a discussion with Iranian state television on Sunday.

The Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Tehran no longer finds reasons for nuclear talks with the EU3 nations (France, the UK, and Germany), as reported by Middle Eastern media.

In September, Iran's Supreme National Security Council urged halting collaboration with the IAEA after the EU3 nations initiated a process to reinstate UN sanctions on Iran.

Consequently, sanctions that were lifted under the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) came back into effect on the night of September 28.

They comprise an arms ban on Iran, inspections of cargo, limitations on its missile activities, and a halt on overseas assets.
