Intel and 3DGS to invest $3.3 billion in India facility

Intel Corp. of the US and 3DGS Inc. will commit around $3.3 billion to a wafer fabrication plant in Odisha, as reported by Fortune India, referencing a statement from the Indian government.

The building of the facility is anticipated to require five to six years. The initiative will generate more than 1,800 proficient jobs.

Intel will serve as a technological collaborator, offering process knowledge, technology licenses, quality systems, and skills training.

Heads of Odisha announced that in line with its development strategy, the local economy is projected to hit $500 billion by 2036 and $1.5 trillion by 2047, with contributions from American company investments.
