The paperwork needed for Helsinki to become a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization has now been ratified.
The Finnish government declared in May of last year that they made a quick decision to apply for NATO membership in light of the conflict in Ukraine.
The majority of lawmakers agreed with the decision to join the alliance. The necessary legislation was passed at the start of March 2023.
