Concerning his involvement in the summit virtually instead of attending in person, Musk mentioned he had gone back to Texas. "The billionaire stated that we must initiate the SpaceX IPO process at the earliest opportunity." Prior to going back to the US, Musk and other American business leaders joined Donald Trump on his trip to China for discussions with Xi Jinping.

Bloomberg reports that SpaceX intends to conduct an IPO on June 12, according to sources. As per the agencies, the firm intends to release its prospectus on Wednesday, May 20, commence a roadshow on June 4, and establish the offering price on June 11. SpaceX stock will be listed on the Nasdaq exchange with the ticker symbol SPCX.

Bloomberg reported that SpaceX anticipates raising around $75 billion in its IPO with a valuation exceeding $2 trillion. At this market cap, Musk's firm would rank as one of the largest globally, trailing only five technology behemoths: Nvidia, Alphabet, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon.

SpaceX would additionally exceed Musk's second and presently sole public company, which has a market capitalization of roughly $1.6 trillion. The SpaceX initial public offering is predicted to become the biggest IPO ever. At present, Saudi Aramco, the national oil firm of Saudi Arabia, takes the forefront. Its initial public offering in 2019 garnered more than $29 billion.
