Chip maker TSMC increases net profit by a third in Q4

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the world's top custom chip manufacturer, reported a rise in its net profit to NT$505.7 billion, which is approximately $16 billion, for the fourth quarter of 2025. This is compared to $374.68 billion in the same quarter of 2024, as stated in its financial report.

According to Bloomberg, analysts estimated the company's profit to be around $467 billion on average.

The company's revenue grew by 21% to $1.05 trillion from $868.46 billion.

When converted to US dollars, TSMC's annual revenue surpassed $100 billion for the first time.

Over the last three months, TSMC's market value has gone up by 13.8%, reaching $44.3 trillion, making it the most valuable company in Asia by market capitalization.

TSMC works with major clients such as Apple and Nvidia from the United States, and Sony from Japan.
