Chinese AI firm Moonshot AI has notified its investors about its intentions to become a publicly traded company within six months, according to Bloomberg, referencing sources close to the situation.

The agency stated that Moonshot has provided shareholders with a draft resolution for listing, requesting their consent for a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Sources indicated that Moonshot is in the process of finalizing a funding round that may appraise the startup at more than $30 billion.

According to Bloomberg's sources, Moonshot identified a chance to go public once its annualized revenue run rate hit $300 million in June. The agency reported that this amount was $200 million in April.

Last week, Moonshot revealed its latest model, Kimi 3. The firm asserts it surpasses every rival except for Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.6, the top models from Anthropic and OpenAI, respectively. The demand for Kimi 3 has been so great that Moonshot has halted new subscriptions to focus on computing resources for current users.
