The decline started following the accident of Air India's Boeing 787 aircraft in India. Boeing shares closed before at $214, down 0.8%.
The aircraft accident happened on June 12. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft was heading to London, carrying 242 passengers.
Based on initial data, at least 133 individuals lost their lives. The reason for the crash has not yet been identified.
This marks the first airplane accident involving a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner model. In 2024, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration started examining Dreamliners following a report from a former company engineer regarding issues with the fastening of fuselage segments.
