US company Blizzard has dismissed Allen Brack as president and appointed two executives at once - Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra.

Ms Oneal previously headed Vicarious Visions (which is now part of Blizzard), while Mr Ybarra worked at Microsoft for 20 years and was vice president of the company's gaming division before leaving.

The company said in a statement that the new executives will work together to make Blizzard "a safe and welcoming place for women and people of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations and backgrounds". The company hopes to rebuild trust after a scandal involving discrimination and sexual harassment against women at the company.

In July 2020, the California Department of Labor and Housing Rights sued Blizzard, accusing the company of creating a "fraternal culture" of discrimination against women and sexual harassment.

As California authorities found out, Blizzard showed signs of systematic harassment of women: they had lower starting salaries, had a harder time getting promoted, and were forced to tolerate inappropriate behavior by male colleagues. Blizzard denied the allegations, and in response, the company's employees rallied and demanded changes from management.
