A joint press release states that the involved parties will concentrate on increasing their presence in key LNG markets.
“The synergy of Woodside’s achievements in LNG projects, Hyundai Engineering’s vast expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction, along with Hyundai Glovis’ international reach in marine logistics, enables the parties to address the increasing need for LNG in Asia-Pacific markets and certain developing areas,” the statement reads.
Woodside, which is developing multiple LNG projects, including Louisiana LNG (USA) where it holds a 60% stake, is set to commence operations in 2029 and aims to emerge as one of the globe's leading producers with yearly supply volumes exceeding 20 million tons.
