“Apple has created 100,000 new jobs in India. We anticipate them to quickly double the amount of employment, based on our conversations,” NDTV’s source stated.

The insider claims that Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has a long-term investment strategy in India. It is noted that the Apple CEO had asked for government cooperation to increase India's component supplier base during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian authorities the day before.

"He also asked for help in training Indian manpower to meet the company's needs," said one of the TV channel's interlocutors.

If Apple identifies the required competencies for Indian workers, the Indian government will be ready to provide facilities for the necessary qualifications, he said.
