The first full electric vehicle under another JLR brand, Land Rover, will be released in 2024, and the number of electric models of that brand will grow to six in the next few years.

The company has promised that by 2030 all the cars it produces will have an electric version, and by 2039 JLR intends to produce only zero-emission vehicles.

JLR also said it will invest £2.5 billion ($3.5 billion) annually to develop electric cars and other technologies.

In recent weeks, several major automakers have also named specific deadlines for the transition to electric vehicles.

For example, at the end of January General Motors said that by 2035 will produce only cars with zero harmful emissions, a little later Porsche has promised to bring the share of electric cars to 80% by 2030.
