In the meantime, Thai jets are targeting Cambodian bases, storage facilities, and approaching reinforcements.

The Royal Thai Air Force announced the deployment of the jets to offer close air support for ground forces. They received orders to assault Cambodian artillery sites bombarding Thai land. The Air Force remarked that the operation is still in progress.

Thailand announced the death of one soldier in confrontations with Cambodia, and an additional eight were injured in border skirmishes that started on Sunday.

The Cambodian Ministry of National Defense reports that Thailand was the first to open fire. The Thai counterpart, conversely, asserts the contrary.

The Ministry of Information in Cambodia announced that four civilians have died in the northern region due to conflicts with Thailand, and nine others were injured. Scores of thousands of individuals were compelled to leave their residences.

Each side blamed the other for breaking the ceasefire established this summer.
