The transaction involves Equinor's 30% ownership in the Bandurria Sur field and a 50% ownership in the Bajo del Toro field. Equinor's offshore fields in Argentina are not impacted by the agreement.
In the third quarter of 2025, Equinor's portion of the production from the Bandurria Sur field was approximately 24,400 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day on average. The company mentioned that the Bajo del Toro field, which is still in the early phase of development, has produced 2,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Equinor's stock price fell by 1.9% during Monday's trading session. The company's market value has risen by 3.2% in the last three months, whereas the Norwegian OSEAX stock index has increased by 9% during the same period.
