Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado stated on Thursday that the American side proposed to conduct elections in Venezuela in 2027.

The EFE agency reports that she delivered the relevant statement during her initial press conference after arriving back in Venezuela.
She stated that she will make sure all citizens of the nation can vote in the upcoming elections.
“Her presence in Venezuela indicates that the power transition is progressing,” Machado added.
Machado expressed gratitude to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US President Donald Trump for their action in January, when the US military displaced then-President Nicolas Maduro and his spouse from Venezuela.
