Trump has stated in the past that he would implement tariffs on EU products because he feels that Brussels treats Washington “very poorly.”
A representative from the European Commission later said that the EU lacked information on the U.S. introducing extra tariffs on European products, but was prepared to “respond decisively” if such measures were taken.
