"The Republic of Korea's present administration differs from all previous administrations. Our military forces are incredibly capable of responding. (...) We will punish North Korea several times more severely if they irritate us," Yoon Suk Yeol reportedly stated in a cabinet meeting.

President of South Korea urged the populace and the administration to band together in order to "defeat" the propaganda and dubious methods used by the North Korean regime.

The characterization of South-North relations by North Korea, he claimed, as relations between "hostile" states is equivalent to admitting that the regime is "anti-national and anti-historical."
