The size of the Indian stock market might grow to $10 trillion by 2030, according to researchers at Jefferies Financial Group Inc.

This prediction is linked to the high profitability of investments made in the Indian market as well as the anticipation of ongoing economic reforms in the nation.

With a $4.5 trillion market capitalization, the Indian stock market is currently the fifth largest in the world. Furthermore, according to Jefferies experts Mahesh Nandurkar and Chris Wood, there is sufficient space for foreign investment because the proportion of shares of Indian companies in global stock indices is less than 2%.

"This situation should change as the number of free float increases and some of the anomalies in terms of weighting in the indices are removed," analysts write. According to the Jefferies study, "it will be difficult for large global investors to ignore the Indian market" if the past 20 years' 10% dollar investment returns are any indication.
